1.1 Account Information
- Apple Sign In: When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique user identifier and optionally your email address (if you choose to share it).
1.2 Screen Time Data
- App Usage: We collect screen time usage data for apps and categories you select to track. This data is used solely to monitor your challenge progress.
- Local Processing: Screen time data is processed locally on your device using Apple's Screen Time API (DeviceActivity framework).
- What We Store: We only store aggregated usage totals (total minutes used) associated with your challenges, not detailed app-by-app breakdowns.
1.3 Payment Information
- Stripe Processing: Payment information is processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We never store your full credit card details.
- What We Store: We store Stripe payment intent IDs, payment amounts, and payment status to manage your challenge stakes and refunds.
1.4 Challenge Data
- Challenge settings (time limits, stake amounts, selected apps)
- Challenge status and progress
- Start and end dates

We use the information we collect to:

11. Screen Time API Disclosure
Scroll Tax uses Apple's Screen Time API to monitor app usage for the apps and categories you explicitly select. This data:
- Is processed locally on your device
- Is only collected for apps you choose to track
- Is used solely for challenge progress monitoring
- Is not shared with third parties for advertising or analytics
- Can be stopped by canceling your challenge or deleting your account
